Successful General Meeting of EASY SOFTWARE AG
- All agenda items carried by a large majority
- Partnership alliance with Haufe Lexware
- Nullification appeal in the current tort litigation proceedings submitted
EASY SOFTWARE AG held its annual general meeting on June 8, 2017 at Stadthalle (Guildhall) Mülheim. The large majority of shareholders present approved of all agenda items. The detailed voting results can be viewed in the Investor Relations section on the company’s home page at www.easy.de.
In its report on the past financial year and in the general debate that followed, the Management Board gave a detailed presentation of developments in 2016, explaining medium- to long-term business strategy. For example, EASY SOFTWARE AG endeavors to increase sales through its own developed products. It expects a significant improvement particularly in the SaaS business.
The first few successes have already been achieved in the current FY 2017. With Ritter Energie- und Umwelttechnik GmbH & Co. KG, EASY won one of the most innovative enterprises of the solar thermal energy industry as a customer for a mobile app solution for optimized operation and maintenance. The public cloud solution is based on the EASY SPIRIT platform; it will be in use in Ritter products from summer 2017 onward. Thus, EASY is successfully positioning itself in the growth market Internet of Things.
Moreover, EASY SOFTWARE AG expects further impetus from its partnership alliance with Haufe Lexware GmbH & Co KG. The first step was to integrate the EASY document archive software with the product range of the Freiburg-based manufacturer of standard application software for self-employed companies, free-lancers, and smaller midsize businesses. The delivery contract will be signed shortly. With over 300,000 customers from the lower mid-market including more than one million users, there are significant scaling capabilities in a market that EASY has not previously been active in. Field tests with 70 customers were successful, so in addition to the solution for the document archive, more EASY solutions will be integrated with the Haufe product range.
Besides the efforts in the operative business, EASY SOFTWARE AG will also continue its efforts in the tort litigation proceedings against former executive bodies. The Superior Provincial Court (OLG) Düsseldorf recently granted an appeal by the defendant against a verdict issued by District Court (LG) Duisburg in favor of EASY SOFTWARE AG. To counter this decision, EASY SOFTWARE AG wants to appeal and therefore decided to file for nullification appeal with the German Federal Supreme Court.
